MVSM Core Values

M.V.S.M. places a major emphasis on community involvement and support.  Our goal is to be a great place to work, and a company that returns some of it's success to local communities. Our company core values are:

  • Generosity - To our community and employees.

  • Safety - Sending every employee home in as good of shape as they arrived, and not placing profits before people.   Our current Workers' Compensation Experience Modifier is .97 and we have had zero claims or time loss injuries in 3 years.

  • Efficiency - Using project planning and pre-planning to ensure the project is completed on time and on budget.

  • Quality - Taking pride in our craft.  Following the latest codes and standards in construction, including the SMACNA Duct Construction Manual and the International Mechanical Code.

  • Productivity - Being in the right place, at the right time, on time.  Ensuring our work processes and scheduling complete the most amount of work as quickly and with as little impact as possible.

  • Openness - Being open with clients about our scope and budget.  Having a clear scope allows customers to ensure that all received bids from MVSM state exactly what we are proposing, with clear language, with the actual cost.

  • Honesty - We take ownership of our work, if it's not right, we'll make it right.  When we say we will be there, we are there.

  • Fair Accounting - Paying Vendors and Subcontractors Promptly, in many cases before we are paid.  Our highest payment priority, outside of internal payroll, is paying our subcontractors, many of whom are also small businesses.  We do not sit on progress payments to collect interest.  Ask us for references.

Our Capabilities

We use only G90, 26 Gauge Sheet Metal as a minimum.  We never use 30 gauge residential products in commercial construction.

We use full throat round 5-gore or stamped 90's on all medium/high pressure systems.  We fabricate radius throats/heels or specified turning vanes on all elbows.  We never use light gauge, low pressure adjustable elbows on medium or high pressure duct systems.

All conditioned air ducts are insulated to a minimum of R-6.

All Duct is fabricated per the SMACNA Duct Construction manual for hanger support spacing, connection type, reinforcement, and metal gauge.

All Systems are installed per the International Mechanical Code, as a minimum standard.

Grease Ducts and Industrial ducts are all welded per AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding Code and NFPA 96.

All systems are designed and installed for energy efficiency per the 2009 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code and ASHRAE 90.1
